If there was ever an educational moment for Obama, this is it.

Obama should take to the bully pulpit, teleprompter and all, to announce that he has ordered the FBI and Justice Department to investigate and prosecute anyone who threatens a judge or citizen. He should then go on to remind everyone that we are a nation of laws, that justice will be served by the court and that Mr. Zimmerman is, just as some claim of Mr. Martin, innocent until proven otherwise.

Anything less and Obama is simply continuing to incite mob violence and deserves immediate impeachment.

Is Santorum out to win the election or destroy the Republican party?  As a wanna-be nominee with almost as little chance of getting the nomination as Gingrich, Santorum is proving himself unsuitable in every aspect.  Despicable, extreme, and even un-American.

The latest stupidity from Santorum is his Obama-Ahmadinejad ad.

This tops his Obama over Romney recommendation.

First, what kind of candidate recommends party members vote for the opposition party instead of their own?  Isn’t our problem Obama?!

Second, no matter the reason, there is no justification to equate an American president, even if it is Obama, with Ahmadinejad.  None.

Taken together, is Santorum recommending Americans, Republicans specifically, to vote for an Ahmadinejad-like candidate?

Is Santorum really this irrational and destructive?  Regardless of Santorum’s subsequent back-peddling and dissembling, he cannot undo his offensive statements.

Santorum and Gingrich make Romney look ever presidential, sane, and grown-up.  Lucky for us, beyond comparison with these two, Romney really is a respectable and very welcome alternative to Obama.  But, can we say the same for Santorum and Gingrich after their self-destructive behavior during this current campaign?

Update: CBS News is reporting Sunday night that Santorum described Romney in Wisconsin as “the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama.” Further, that Republicans should “pick any other Republican in the country” than GOP presidential front-runner Romney.  (CBS News Political Hotsheet) When pressed in followup with Jeff Zeleny at New York Times, Santorum accused the reporter of lying, saying he (Santorum) was only talking about health care.  “If I see it [in print], it’s bull(expletive).”

Now, about Ms. Fluke. Yell at me all you want, but she is a S-L-U-T, capital letters and all.  She clearly has no morals, no self-respect.  Did we really need to know about her sexual habits?  I wonder how proud her parents are of her sex-crazed lifestyle at school? And a boyfriend?  At this point she’s announced to the world that she’s easy.  Maybe that Super Bowl commercial about giving flowers for sex was written for Ms. Fluke?

Seriously, if she wants to take birth control, go for it. She can reportedly buy it for about $9 per month at a nearby Target, bet even cheaper at Wal-Mart.  That’s less than $120 per year. Surely she can afford it, maybe ask mommy and daddy to cover it, or, maybe even her sex partners?  Now I’ll bet that’d be seriously cheaper than those Super Bowl recommended flowers.

Okay, yell away…

BTW, surely there’s story in Obama wasting no time to call Ms. Fluke.  Is Michelle out of town?

With the takedown of Muammar Qaddafi and the announcement that the Iraq war is coming to end, President Obama racked up more major victories on foreign policy this week – the fourth in six months starting with Usama bin Laden’s killing.

No! Obama’s foreign policy is more failure than positive anyway. Obama cannot be forgiven for his apology tours, for his bowing to kings and emperors around the world. Americans do not do this.

That under his watch Bin Laden was caught, etc. is irrelevant and old news by 2012. Already old news.

Next, Obama has destoyed the country–un– and under-employment over 20%, nearly $15 trillion in debt, etc.

No, Obama is a loser, a soon to be one-term president.

If the languid Obama had not done his usual irritating fourth-quarter play, if he had presented a jobs plan a year ago and fought for it, he wouldn’t have needed to elevate the setting. How will he up the ante next time? A speech from the space station?

 

Obama is still suffering from the Speech Illusion, the idea that he can come down from the mountain, read from a Teleprompter, cast a magic spell with his words and climb back up the mountain, while we scurry around and do what he proclaimed.

 

The days of spinning illusions in a Greek temple in a football stadium are done. The One is dancing on the edge of one term.

 

The White House team is flailing — reacting, regrouping, retrenching. It’s repugnant.

 

After pushing and shoving and caving to get on TV, the president’s advisers immediately began warning that the long-yearned-for jobs speech wasn’t going to be that awe-inspiring.

 

“The issue isn’t the size or the newness of the ideas,” one said. “It’s less the substance than how he says it, whether he seizes the moment.”

 

The arc of justice is stuck at the top of a mountain. Maybe Obama was not even the person he was waiting for.
