A recorded marriage proposal and ring sent via the mail
Yes, Dallas Cowboys receiver Roy Williams recorded a marriage proposal and sent an engagement ring via the mail to Brooke Daniels, a former beauty pagent winner. She turned him down and kept the ring. A $76,000 ring.
Now, Williams is threatening to sue. Seriously, does he want everyone to know how lame this all is? As Chris Chase writes:
“
He recorded a marriage proposal and then sent the ring through the mail? Unless you’re a soldier stationed overseas, that’s just about the lamest thing I’ve ever heard. If you proposed through the mail, wouldn’t you not want other people to hear that? I’d consider eating the $76,000 just so I didn’t have to tell anyone.
And now that we know about the lame proposal, “how did she reject him, with a return receipt?”
Helmet law protester dies of head injuries
A New York helmut law protester, Philip A. Contos, died in a protest against helmet laws in Onondaga, NY. Contos reported hit is brakes, dumped the bike, and fell over the handle bars fatally hitting his unhelmeted head on the pavement. Police say he would have survived had he been wearing a helmet. Bad karma makes Mr. Contos the poster boy for the helmet laws.
