Union Strike Over Health Care? In Chicago?!
Chicago teachers go on strike today. Unionized teachers in Obama’s home town, now run by Rahm Emanuel. And according to the union spokesperson, they are not arguing over money, just benefits, specifically health care. Why are these union workers not gratefully embracing Obamacare?
Sure, there are more areas of contract disagreement—teacher evaluations and job security. As a parent and taxpayer, having seen, and as a former student having even suffered with some very bad teachers, management needs complete control over teacher evaluations to get rid of poorly performing teachers.

Is this Obama justice? A race-motivated lynch mob?
It is beyond shocking to see a lynch mob occurring right in front of us, demonstrating the inhumanity and uncivilized behavior of people animals. Personally, I’m disgusted at what I am witnessing, at the poor corporate citizenship demonstrated by Twitter, and at the impotent response of federal, state, and local law enforcement. (And people wonder why many of us ‘cling to our guns’ and demand respect for the Second Amendment right to bear arms.)
If there was ever an educational moment for Obama, this is it.
Hertz Fires 25 Muslim Drivers
What is unfair about this? Hertz asked the workers to clock out for prayers, they refused, were suspended, offered last chance, some accepted instructions to clock out and were reinstated, the others refused and were fired. Seems fair. Hertz should not be required to pay workers to pray.
