Rick Santorum

No low is too low for Santorum [Update x2]

Update: Santorum came unhinged Sunday in Wisconsin, virtually doubling down on his ‘vote Obama over Romney’ recommendation last week.  More at bottom.

Update 2: See CBS video of Santorum at bottom.

Is Santorum out to win the election or destroy the Republican party?  As a wanna-be nominee with almost as little chance of getting the nomination as Gingrich, Santorum is proving himself unsuitable in every aspect.  Despicable, extreme, and even un-American.

The latest stupidity from Santorum is his Obama-Ahmadinejad ad.

It is all in the math…

At this point, by most accounts, Romney will secure the Republican nomination by continuing to win a plurality and occasional majority of votes in the remaining contents. Santorum, on the other hand, needs to win two-thirds and Gingrich nearly three-quarters of the remaining delegates.

MSM would have you believe that Saturday was Santorum’s day but a casual glance suggests otherwise with 80% of the contests going to Romney.

A public discourse on S-L-U-Ts and matters of insurance

Limbaugh was inartful in calling Sandra Fluke a S-L-U-T.  Whatever his other other shortcomings might be, I cannot comment on as I do not regularly listen to him.  That said, it is clear that through and because of him, that Republicans–as portrayed by the media–are the target of venom from Democrats and the media.

Media reports go so far as to try and tar the Republican candidates with Limbaugh’s comments.  I disagree about Romney, in particular, as I think he set a good neutral example in saying “not the language I would have used.”  This is not his fight and not one he or other candidates need to get into at this point.  Me thinks there is a vast left wing conspiracy at play to shift the abortion debate to contraceptives (recall the early question by George S to Romney, which Romney dismissed as ridiculous.)  Now, everyone is making a big play to make this an issue.

Home state votes illustrate dishonesty and hypocrisy of Newt, Rick, and the Media

By now everyone has heard the repeated pronouncements by Gingrich, Santorum, and the ever-helpful media that candidates must win their ‘home states’ or drop out. Will the media finally point out the intellectual dishonesty of Gingrich and Santorum on the Super Tuesday primaries? How many people realize that BOTH Santorum and Gingrich are long-term and current residents of Virginia. By any reasonable definition, this is their home state, definitely more so than branding Michigan as Romney’s home state even though he hasn’t lived there since the late 60s. Yes, 50 years ago.

So, what does Tuesday portend for the remaining four candidates?

Limbaugh, Santorum, and Sluts

Surprised to see Santorum reverse-pander on this one by saying Limbaugh was being absurd.  Limbaugh?  Good, but irritating entertainment when driving a long distance, but now with satellite radio, can’t say I have listened to him more than a couple times over the past few years.  Hannity?  That’s like dragging fingernails down a chalkboard.  Both, heck, all three are shameless and shameful chicken hawks, neocons, and hypocrites.
